The Wellness Project is a free mental health clinic that provides high-quality mental health treatment to uninsured adults. Treatment includes individual and group counseling, community resources and referral, medication management, and peer facilitated treatment groups.
It is staffed by a dedicated group of extraordinary volunteer professionals–mental health therapists from the community–who offer their time and expertise to people who are without the safety net of medical insurance. The Wellness Project relieves the burden on emergency rooms by serving people who may have nowhere else to turn. If you are a master's level mental health therapist, and would like to help those in need, you could become a Wellness Project Volunteer. All services are provided by volunteers, including individual and group therapy. Volunteers also provide licensure supervision to other volunteer therapists who, in turn, directly serve our clients. Whether you serve our clients or supervise interns for licensure, you can make a difference in our community.
