The Wellness Project

The Wellness Project is a free mental health clinic that provides high-quality mental health treatment to uninsured adults. Treatment includes individual and group counseling, community resources and referral, medication management, and peer facilitated treatment groups.

It is staffed by a dedicated group of extraordinary volunteer professionals–mental health therapists from the community–who offer their time and expertise to people who are without the safety net of medical insurance. The Wellness Project relieves the burden on emergency rooms by serving people who may have nowhere else to turn. Just as important is the care and respect shown to each of the individuals who come through the door.

The Wellness Project is also:
  • A Training/Learning Center. Trained and supervised by CSNW staff and graduate students come from area colleges and universities. These include Washington State University Vancouver, Western Seminary, Lewis and Clark College, Portland State University, Eastern Washington University, George Fox University, Concordia University, and others. Interns gain valuable experience and work in a creative, supportive environment.
  • A Volunteer Opportunity. Qualified community professionals generously volunteer their time to provide mental health services to Wellness Project clients. Their dedication and service to the Wellness Project are the reason, in large part, why it is able to remain a free mental health clinic.

Interested in becoming a Wellness Project Volunteer?

If you are a master's level mental health therapist, and would like to help those in need, you could become a Wellness Project Volunteer. All services are provided by volunteers, including individual and group therapy.

Volunteers also provide licensure supervision to other volunteer therapists who, in turn, directly serve our clients. Whether you serve our clients or supervise interns for licensure, you can make a difference in our community.
