Internships

Are you curious about one of the best-kept secrets among mental health graduate interns? Talk to us about CSNW's Internship Program.

We offer a program most other internship sites would envy:
  • Individual and group work with a wide spectrum of mental health clients
  • Flexibility in the treatment modalities employed as you develop your clinical practice
  • Training and well-organized orientations designed to get you working with clients quickly (but always at a pace you can personally manage)
  • Group and individual supervision each week
  • Support from friendly and professional practitioners
  • Reliable accumulation of internship hours in two clinical environments
As an intern in our program, you will get experience in our Outpatient Mental Health program, which serves primarily Medicaid and Medicare populations, and The Wellness Project, our unique, free mental health clinic, serving uninsured adults. Both are each located right off I-5, just north of the Columbia River in Vancouver.

For more information, please contact the Outpatient Program Manager, Antonia Mueller at 360-397-8484 ext 7946.

In their own words, an internship success story:

"I have gotten most everything that I was looking for in this internship experience at Community Services Northwest/Wellness Project. More than anything, I have felt consistent support through regular group supervision as well as individual supervision. I feel supported here to practice therapy in such a way that matches who I am. The professional environment here is collaborative and engaging, which helps me feel empowered as I work with clients. This is important because this empowerment that I feel is then able to be offered to my clients."
